Theatre 7 Presents the Musical 'Come From Away' - Sept. 11-13, 2026

Theatre 7 presents the inspirational musical Come From Away, September 11-13, 2026, 7:30 pm, Friday & Saturday and 2 pm, Saturday & Sunday, in the Albert Taylor Theater, on the campus of Millikin University. The show will by performed without intermission.

On September 11, 2001, the world changed forever. Come From Away takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded airline passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them with open arms. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.  

Twelve actors play multiple unique characters and tell the story of both the Islanders and the Plane People, revealing their fear and uncertainty, as well as profound generosity and compassion. Click HERE to see the entire cast list.

The creators of Come From Away have stated that this is not a September 11th story. It is rather a September 12th story - a story of the best people have to offer each other, and a reminder that we are all capable of doing good for each other, especially in the darkest of times. This show is presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
